Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
At DeBuzz, our mission is to help you reclaim your focus, not your data. We believe your notifications are private conversations, not commodities. This Privacy Policy explains how DeBuzz collects, uses, and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to the information.
The short version: DeBuzz is designed to work 100% on your device. We do not send your notification content, contacts, or app usage history to any server. The only data that ever leaves your device is related to verifying your Premium subscription status via our payment provider.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
To be explicitly clear, DeBuzz does not transmit, store, or share the following data with us or any third party:
- Notification Content: The text, titles, and images within your notifications are processed locally on your device by our Machine Learning engine and never leave your phone.
- App Usage History: Which apps you use and when you use them stays on your device.
- Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
3. Information We Collect
DeBuzz strictly limits data collection to what is necessary for the app's subscription functionality.
3.1. Purchase and Subscription Data
We use a trusted third-party service, RevenueCat, to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions (e.g., DeBuzz Pro). When you purchase a subscription:
- What is processed: An anonymous App User ID, your purchase history (e.g., "Monthly Subscription"), and the expiration date of your subscription.
- Why it is processed: To validate your purchase status and unlock Pro features across your devices or after a reinstall.
- Privacy: This data is linked to your Google Play Store account ID, not your personal identity within our app. We do not have access to your credit card information or billing address; that is handled exclusively by Google Play.
4. Android Permissions
DeBuzz requires specific permissions to function. Here is how we use them:
- Notification Access (NotificationListenerService):
- Purpose: Required to read incoming notifications so the on-device AI can classify them as "Signal" or "Noise" and dismiss spam on your behalf.
- Privacy Guarantee: This access is used strictly for local processing. No data read by this service is transmitted to the cloud.
- Network Access:
- Purpose: Used only to communicate with RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. It is not used to upload user data.
5. Third-Party Services
We use only one third-party service to support our app's core business model:
- RevenueCat:
- We use RevenueCat to power our in-app subscriptions.
- For more information on how RevenueCat handles data, please visit the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
6. Data Security
Because we do not collect your personal data or notification content, there is no central database of user information to hack. Your personal data stays secured on your physical device, protected by Android's sandboxing and encryption features.
7. Children’s Privacy
DeBuzz does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
